Instructor Support Update – 17th April

Update from Downing Street Briefing
Yesterday at 5pm, it was confirmed by the Government that UK lockdown measures are to be extended for a further three weeks therefore in-car driving lessons and training will remain postponed, with the exception of teaching key workers where necessary.

We continue to monitor the situation in relation to COVID-19 and review Franchise Fee Assistance beyond April. We will keep you up to date via our Instructor Support communications.

Online Driving Theory Lessons
As announced last week, we are delighted to launch Online Driving Theory Lessons in response to the restrictions on in-car lessons due to Coronavirus.

Once signed up, you will receive the following information:
– Online Theory Lesson Presentation (for the Introductory Lesson)
– A login to the Driving Test Success platform, where you can monitor your pupils’ progress
– 35+ page Lesson Structure Document covering every topic, in order, for the theory test including Example Lesson Scripts
– Video link examples of the Introductory Online Theory Lesson
– A guide to hosting Video-conferencing
– Marketing Assets to self-promote via your social media platforms
– FAQs – answering common questions

Engaging with your Pupil Waiting List
We are receiving a small number of daily complaints from Pupils regarding Instructors not contacting new Pupil Enquiries sent from our Bookings Team. Please ensure you call all new leads sent to you and either book an immediate Online Theory Lesson (if relevant) or add to your Driving Lesson Waiting List.

Do ensure you are maintaining engagement and keep in touch with all your current pupils. We would recommend you introduce our newly launched Online Theory Lesson product, send them driving lesson or car trivia via text message or social media platforms plus ask them to share our Colour our Car Competition to their family.

Colour our Car Competition
We will be extending the entry deadline for our Colour our Car Competition to 11^th May. This will ensure our Marketing Team can continue to promote branded Bill Plant Driving School communications to further our consumer engagement.
