Instructor Support Update – 4th January

Instructor Support Update – 4th January

This evening the Prime Minister has announced a new National Lockdown in England, effective from midnight tonight.

Based upon the restrictions imposed, and those already in place, driving lessons and tests will be postponed across all areas of England, Scotland & Wales.

Franchise fee assistance
Therefore, we are reducing the franchise fee across the driving school to £65 per week.

For those newly affected (i.e. not previously in Tier 4), this week’s full direct debit will already have been processed by the banks. Therefore, the following weeks’ direct debits will be £65 until driving lessons resume.

We will continue to provide franchisees with a vehicle and insurance, which can be used for limited mileage (we recommend no more than 50 miles per week). Your Roadside Assist and Breakdown Cover remain in place, ensuring you are secure in the event of an emergency.

You do not need to contact Instructor Support or the Finance Department for this.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to be a challenging time for everyone, and we want to do all we can to support our instructors, staff and trainees.
