Instructor Support Update – 23rd February

Government Update
Yesterday the Prime Minister announced the four-part plan to ease England’s lockdown.

In the released “Covid-19 Response − Spring 2021” document the Government has stated “driving tests” will resume within Step 2 and will therefore take place no earlier than 12th April, subject to an assessment of the data.

Here is the link to the document from GOV.UK – https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/963491/COVID-19_Response_-_Spring_2021.pdf

The DVSA later confirmed this in a message on their social media platforms, see below:

Bill Plant Driving School will therefore plan for driving lessons and driving instructor training to resume on 12th April. We have contacted the DVSA for confirmation of the date for driving lessons / tests to resume across the UK and we will communicate this to you once received.

This date is provisional and therefore subject to change, we will naturally keep you updated on this via our Instructor Support Communications. We will provide further updates on this resumption in the following weeks.

We will now start to promote 12th April as our provisional driving lesson and driving instructor training restart date.
