Instructor of the Month
A few months before the pandemic, Bill Plant Driving School launched its “Instructor of the Month” initiative, highlighting and rewarding success stories from individual Bill Plant Driving School instructors. Due to the events of the past year, we have often had to put this program on hold, but we are now excited to reintroduce this scheme and outline its criteria for selection.
At the beginning of every month moving forwards, we will be sending out an Instructor Support Update, which will include within it the winner of the “Instructor of the Month” program:
- To enter, simply email [email protected] – with the subject line “Instructor of the Month Entry – Your Name”
- Within your email, please state (between 50-150 words) your accomplishments for the previous month to demonstrate why you should be nominated. Please include any supporting evidence (e.g. photos of reviews from the previous month) alongside this.
- If you wish to nominate another instructor, please simply state within the email, the full name of the instructor you wish to nominate, alongside the reasons and supporting evidence.
- Bill Plant Driving School’s Senior Management, together with the Instructor Support Team and Customer Service Team, will meet to decide who we believe deserves the title of Instructor of the Month – with the prize of one franchise free week per winner, which can thereafter be taken with 2 week’s minimum notice.
We appreciate all of the positive news, stories and feedback that are shared with us, and want to recognise those who go above and beyond for all those connected to Bill Plant Driving School.
As this new criteria applies moving forwards, we have for this month chosen our winner based on internal discussions, as per previous Instructor of the Month winners. June’s winner has been chosen as: Jatinder Singh – for his outstanding contribution providing guidance and support to new PDI’s over the past month in addition to referring 2 new trainees to join the Bill Plant Driving School Training Academy. Congratulations on your success and thank you!
Team Updates – Bookings & Customer Services
We continue to see great success across the driving school in terms of pupil supply, with 80% of Bill Plant Driving School instructors fully booked despite increasing lesson prices nationwide. We are continuing our efforts to ensure every Bill Plant Driving School instructor is given the means to run a successful business.
The introduction of our new complaints policy (featured in the 22nd April 2021 – Instructor Support Update) has seen both the Customer Service Team and Instructor Support Team work proactively with those instructors who rack up multiple complaints and/or refunds due to complaints to ensure we meet the highest levels of service to our pupils. With the shared goal of being the best driving school in the UK, everyone needs to play their part to ensure each other’s mutual success.
To that effect, we are pleased to inform you that since the new policy was implemented and a far more proactive approach taken to addressing these instances, complaints in the 5-week period post 22nd April, compared to the 5-week period pre 22nd April, have decreased by 43% and refunds linked to complaints have decreased by 36%. Furthermore, in the last 2 weeks, we have seen complaints drop by 76% relative to the 2 weeks’ prior to the new policy being introduced. This shows increased progress over time and acts as a positive sign for the future!
We would like to place on record our thanks to all our instructors across the country who have engaged constructively with the new process and to the vast majority who have always consistently offered great customer service to their pupils. There is still more work to be done, however we are very pleased with these results so far and we are grateful for all your positive contributions.
Fantasy Football Winner – Bill Plant Driving School
With the Premier League Season having come to a close, we are pleased to announce that the winner of the Bill Plant Driving School 2020-2021 Fantasy Football League is… Gobinder Dhanoya, based in Walsall – with his team “JattLife Athletic” achieving a table-topping 2306 Fantasy Points! Alongside this victory and £250 prize, Gobinder also passed his Part 3 Exam in the same month, to successfully qualify as an ADI!
Jonny Trotter – Head of Training Recruitment came second and wins the £75 prize, with Marc Dickinson claiming third place and a £25 prize. The whole head office team would like to extend its congratulations to Gobinder on both fronts, alongside Jonny and Marc, and we wish all those who didn’t quite reach the top spots in the league the best of luck for next season!
