Motorway Driving Lessons With Bill Plant Driving School

We are delighted by today’s news (1st March 2018) from the DVSA that from Monday 4 June 2018 learner drivers will be able to take driving lessons on motorways in England, Scotland and Wales.

Currently, motorway lessons are only available for those who hold full valid drivers licenses.  Alongside this, typically newly-qualified drivers take motorway lessons through Pass Plus driving course.

Based on the guidelines by the DVSA motorway lessons will not be available for all learner drivers, motorway lessons will only be for:
– those accompanied by an approved driving instructor
– and when the car is fitted with dual controls.

With Bill Plant Driving School’s nationwide instructor base and dual controlled BMW tuition vehicle we are therefore naturally the perfect choice for motorway driving lessons. Any motorways lessons will be voluntary and it will be up to the driving instructor to decide when and if the learner driver is competent to take them.

It is important to note that until the law changes (June 4 2018), it’s still illegal for a learner driver to drive on a motorway.

Thanks, Bill Plant Driving School Team
