DVSA Covid-19 Updates
As of July 2021, the DVSA has updated its guidance surrounding coronavirus restrictions for ADIs and PDIs for their Driving Instructor Training exams. We would like to take the opportunity to remind you of the following important points:
- You must bring and wear a face covering for your test, unless it’s not safe for you to do so.
- You must also clean the inside of your car before your test. This means wiping down surfaces and tidying. The examiner will do an additional clean of some surfaces.
- You can choose to take a rapid lateral flow test in the 48 hours before your driving test if you do not have COVID-19 symptoms.
Bill Plant Driving School Covid-19 Updates
In the UK, face coverings are no longer mandatory and are at the discretion of the individual if they choose to wear one. However, we do highly recommend that both you and your trainers wear face coverings to promote a safe working environment.
For anyone attending a Part 2 or Part 3 training course, we require a negative lateral flow test to be completed before your training can begin.
For those training intensively, your trainer will provide you with a lateral flow test upon your arrival. This must be completed unless you have taken a test the night before your training. Please send a picture of your negative flow test result and your signed health declaration to email@example.com prior to the commencement of your course.
For those training locally, please send a copy directly to your trainer.
Those attending their driving school business induction and car collection are also required to provide a negative test result before entering the building. We can provide these upon your arrival but you must arrive 30 minutes before your induction start time. This must be completed unless you have taken a test the night before your induction. Please send a picture of your negative flow test result and your signed health declaration to firstname.lastname@example.org prior to the commencement of your induction.
Our training vehicles continue to be sanitised between training sessions and we ask that any trainees completing their Part 3 training on a PDI licence continue to do the same between pupils.
We will of course keep a close eye on any updates for the DVSA and update you on any further developments
