Your Driving Test & The Routes
You may not think so, but the test routes you are likely to be asked to drive have all been pre-planned, and what is even better is that you can get information on these test routes long before you are due to take your driving test!
All that you need to know is where you will be taking your driving test. If you haven't even started thinking about this, either ask your Bill Plant Driving Instructor where the nearest driving test centre is and where he/she thinks you should take your driving test (afterall, they will have been teaching you the roads in a particular area for a reason), or have a look for the nearest practical test centre yourself on the DSA's website, and see which test centre will be better and more convenient for you.
If you haven't done so yet, you can also find your nearest theory test centre using the DSA website.
Whilst you are viewing the centres, you'll notice that information on whether disabled access and translator services is offered.
Before mid-2010, each test centre happily divulged information on their own test routes, and this information was freely available to the general public. However as with lots of informative elements this was removed. Today those queueing to take their driving tests must look elsewhere.
If we discover a new source of information you can trust us to make that information available to you, so don't forget to check back often. In the meantime, you can try various other sources of information such as Route LED who offer driving test route info at a price.
The info can be directly downloaded to your satellite navigation system so that you can practice the routes before your driving test.
Good luck with your driving test!
