At Bill Plant Driving School we are committed to promoting road safety, not just through providing the highest quality driving instruction, but with our programme of interactive road safety presentations.

These are available FREE to any educational establishment catering for 15 to 19 year olds
The presentation is designed to highlight the major dangers which affect young drivers.
On average in the past decade 3,000 people a year have died on the roads of the UK. 1/3 of these are young people aged 15 to 25.

The subjects covered are
1. Speeding
2. Driver Attitude
3. Drink and Drugged Driving
4. Driver distraction
5. Mobile phones
6. Seatbelts
7. Basic vehicle maintenance

The presentation makes use of video clips of personal testimonies of those involved in a fatal road traffic accident, as well as some audience participation to demonstrate the folly of drinking and driving and using a mobile phone.

The presentation has been carefully crafted to get the serious message across, but also contains some light hearted elements. It lasts in the region of 45 minutes to 1 hour, but can be modified to suit your audience, in both length and if desired content. It is ideal for inclusion as an element in Personal and Social Education

The presentation has been successfully run in a number of schools including a number of repeat visits. In some cases it has been run as one presentation to a whole year group, or presented a number of times in one day to each class in a year group.

As part of the presentation a small quiz is given to each pupil attending and knowledge required is given throughout the presentation.
